A quick lay of the land for visitors: summer belongs to the Snake River and the trails, with dry-fly fishing for Snake River fine-spotted cutthroat at its best in the warm months. Fall is hunting season in the Bridger-Teton, when the valley quiets down and the elk start talking. Winter brings ice fishing on area lakes and everything the snow makes possible, and spring is the season to plan, apply for draws, and get your gear in order. The whole year runs through bear country, so keep bear spray close from the first thaw to the first deep snow. Whatever the season, we are on West Broadway, Monday through Friday 9–6 and Saturday 10–4, and always happy to point you the right way.
